MEXICO CITY â" Â An autopsy carried out on the body of drug cartel leader Heriberto Lazcano before his body was stolen shows he died of six gunshot wounds, including two to the head, according to a forensic report released Thursday.
The Coahuila state prosecutors' office said the autopsy determined Lazcano died of brain injuries, hemorrhaging, shock and blood loss. Lazcano, known as "El Lazca," was a founder and one of two top leaders of the brutal Zetas drug cartel and was one of Mexico's most-wanted drug lords.
The head wounds stood out, given navy reports indicating Lazcano was shot at a distance of as much as 300 meters (yards) by marines during a confrontation in northern Coahuila state Sunday.
The autopsy report said Lazcano was shot once in the side or top of the skull and once in the back of the head. The four other wounds were in the buttocks, chest and arm.
Masked men stole his body from a funeral home early Monday. State forensic experts performed the autopsy at the funeral home Sunday evening, before the body was stolen.
Mexico's navy said its personnel had no idea they had killed the leader of the country's most-feared drug cartel until after his body was stolen. By law, military personnel in Mexico cannot keep or examine suspects or corpses, but must turn them over to civilian prosecutors. In areas where morgues are in short supply, medical examiners sometimes perform autopsies at funeral homes.
The navy says Lazcano was killed after marines tried to search a group of suspicious men in a truck outside a baseball stadium, after receiving a tip there were armed men in the area. The men fired when the marines stopped the truck. One suspect died where the truck was stopped, but the man later identified as Lazcano fled across a field, where he was reportedly cut down by marine fire.

Question by Bad Question: "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Does this mean God planned to kill Jesus from day one? Even before Adam and Eve ate the bad fruit? If so, somebody's got some explaining to do. Revelation 13:8. If I'm wrong, then tell me exactly what "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world" actually means. Thanks. .. Best answer for "Lamb slain from the foundation of the world." Does this mean God planned to kill Jesus from day one?:

Theists make believe god doesn't have to explain anything. He works in "mysterious ways." If you believe in god you believe that he planned everything. Including all the horrible atrocities we would commit and will commit.

It's a statement that Jesus is who He claims to be.

God is all knowing, God of course knew man would sin. God had a plan for your salvation before he created the world, God's plan for us was always through Christ not through Adam.
Answer by Frankie
That's right. God's plan was made before the earth was created on day one.

yes you are right. God knew everything from the beginning. Our names were even recorded in the Lamb's Book of Life from the "foundation of the world" (Rev 17:8). He knew Adam and Eve would choose to eat the forbidden fruit and fallen man would need a ransom

Yes, that's exactly what it means. In fact, since Jesus was the creator (as stated in John 1:1-3) it was Jesus Himself that planned to sacrifice Himself for the redemption of His own creation. God knew all along that Adam and Eve were going to sin and that as a result mankind was going to become sinful and in need of redemption not being able to do so ourselves.

If you had a concordance with the Greek word, you would be able to see that this meaning is what the non-Christians translated at the time. It is incorrect. Knowing what it means explodes everything out of the water, and I won't do that here on Yahoo. We are to be wise, just as wise as a serpent. But you could e-mail me if you really were asking this.

well that is an intrigging question few ever come to the knowledge of and it not easy to explain . LETS put it this way to make it easy Holy Scriptures like in john i state that jesus was the creator or the active agent of creation all 3 were present at creation but Jesus was the agent used and lets say before the crowning work of creation on earth a council was held between the father and the son? we are going to create man and what goin to happen when they sin Jesus makes an agreement that he will be responsible for this race and pay the punishment in due time/ in the jewish offering system a lamb symbolized Christ .. without the shedding of blood their is no remission or forgiveness for sin when adam and eve sinned a innocent animal had to die to clothe their nakedness . a animals bllod was not enough to cleanse them of sin but it was by faith it was needed to show their humility and sorrow for sin.. It was a illustration of the blood jesus himself would willingly shed for our life to purchase our pardon for sin committed . thus revelation states jesus is the lamb slain before the foundation of this earth.. before man came into existance sin was already provided for and a cure provided . .. Sin was not a suprise it was accounted for before the world was formed that is love..

No. In the Bible, the expression "foundation of the world" relates to the promise mentioned at Genesis 3:15, after Adam and Eve had sinned, about a "seed" (descendant) that would suffer a heel wound (a recoverable injury), but who would crush the serpent (the Devil) in the head (a fatal injury). This is symbolic language, as is the imagery of the book of Revelation. It is similar to the words of 1 Peter 1:20, which speaks about Jesus as being "foreordained before the foundation of the world." The word âfoundationâ is translated from a Greek term [καÏαβολá¿] that literally means âthrowing down of seed.â This meant human conception. This occurred AFTER Adam and Eve disobeyed God. So following the rebellion in Eden, "from the foundation [καÏαβολá¿] of the world" (the conception of offspring by Adam and Eve), God foreordained the appearance of the âseed,â who became Jesus Christ. This "seed" would suffer a "heel wound" or nonfatal injuring. Jesus, though put to death, was resurrected to life again by God. Jesusâ death and resurrection provided the loving arrangement of the ransom, whereby inherited sin and all of the Devil's efforts are to be brought to nothing. (Matthew 20:28; Hebrews 2:14; 1 John 3:8). Jesus knew that the prophets spoke of the death of this 'seed,' but also of recovery from the "heel wound," i.e., resurrection to life again. He said to them, "How foolish you are, and how slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken! Did not the Christ have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?" And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself. -- Luke 24:25-27, New International Version He said to them, "This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms." Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, "This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day." -- Luke 24:44-46, New International Version

You have the wrong understanding of the phrase "from the foundation of the world". (Matt. 13:35; 25:34; Luke 11:50; Heb. 4:3; Rev. 13:8; Rev. 17:8) There are two similar but different phrases you need to be aware of to see what they each one mean. The one is this one you here mention. The other is "before the foundation of the world". (John 17:24; Ephesians 1:4; 1 Peter 1: 20) "before the foundation of the world" refers to the point at which Adam sinned. "from the foundation of the world" refers to when Adam borne his first child. It is similar to Paul's saying about the forming of the church, 1 Corinthians 3:10 "According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise master builder, I have laid the foundation, and another builds thereon. But let every man take heed how he builds thereupon." In other words Paul is speaking about laying people in as members of the church as "the foundation" of the church. Jesus was the "Chief Cornerstone" and the Apostles were themselves said to be foundation stones. (Ephesians 2:20-22; Revelation 21:14) So the Lamb being slain "from the foundation of the world" instead of "before" tells us two things: (1) The Lamb was not slain for Adam when Adam sinned and therefore does not atone for Adam's personal sin. (2) The slaying of the Lamb began being applied as an atonement for sin with the first of Adam's children being born. Failure to grasp these two simple things have led to much wild Biblical interpretation. For example, some say that those chosen in Christ were chosen by name from "before the foundation of the world". (Ephesians 1:4) But it can only be the group which Ephesians 1:4 is referring to and not to specific individuals as no names are even written into the book of life until "from the foundation of the world" after Adam began having children. And the reason for that is quite simple: Ezekiel 34:12 "As a shepherd seeks out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day." Tiny little bits of things missed can greatly alter ones overview of the Bible. And due to this many have built such a great structure on mistaken understanding that it becomes fearful or prideful for them to be confronted with the thought of having to rethink it.
