Question by ᶜᵃˢᵉʸ: Is the new World Trade Center going to have a "Windows on the World"? One of the original towers had a restaurant at the top called "Windows on the World" or something like that where you could eat and look out over Manhattan. Is the new tower going to have something like that? Or an observation deck or something? And if they do, will anyone be brave enough to go to it? If you're referring to the Freedom Tower, there's been talk about it, but nothing came out of it yet. So, its still up in the air. Good luck

It should at least have an indoor observation deck. From http://www.panynj.gov/wtcprogress/one-wtc.html : «Upon completion, One World Trade Center's program will include 3 million square feet of office space on 71 office floors, a grand public lobby graced with a 50-foot ceilings, an observation deck 1,241' 8" above ground, a wide array of shopping opportunities and ample parking.» As for a restaurant, I just found this at http://www.freedom-tower-nyc.com/freedom-tower-news/outdoor-observation-deck-at-one-world-trade-center-a-no-go-developer-says-dnainfo/ : «The PA announced in March that it had scrapped a plan to build a sky-deck eatery at the top of the tower reminiscent of Windows on the World, deeming it a money-loser because of the challenges of transporting people and supplies up so many stories in such a busy building.»

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina â€"  Argentina's government fired its coast guard and border patrol chiefs and forcibly retired their top 10 commanders amid protests by thousands of troops over wage cuts.
Security Minister Nilda Garre announced the moves Wednesday night, naming replacements and declaring that "the situation with the two security forces is therefore normalized."
That remains to be seen. Thousands of border patrol and coast guard officers are still protesting against plans to normalize their wages by eliminating extra payments that weren't declared in their taxes.
The government said only top officers were supposed to suffer pay cuts, but low-ranking troops revolted after discovering they lost up to 40 percent of their wages in this month's paychecks.
