Question by Wolfsong_Ayooah: Who performs the muzak version of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" in Watchmen? In the scene where Adrian Veidt meets with auto-executives in WATCHMEN, an "elevator music" version of Tears For Fears' "Everybody Want to Rule the World" plays. The performer was listed in the credits. Anyone catch it? Best answer for Who performs the muzak version of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" in Watchmen?:
Answer by Happy Hiram
Honestly it sounded exactly like tears for fears but minus the vocal and turned down a bit. I think they got the masters from Tears for Fears, or dubbed out the vocal only.

The credits list the band as Studio Group, which is just a generic label for studio musicians. There are 24 songs in Watchmen. The soundtrack album has about half of the songs on it but you can find the videos and downloads for all the songs from the movie here: http://reelsoundtrack.wordpress.com/2009/03/06/the-watchmen-soundtrack/ Here's the complete list of songs from Watchmen, with notes on the scenes they appear in. â¢MTV Theme: Man On The Moon - Jonathan Elias and John Petersen â¢On the TV and opening fight: Unforgettable - Nat King Cole â¢Opening credits: The Times They Are a-Changin - Bob Dylan â¢Dinner with Laurie and Dan: 99 Luftballons - Nena â¢Funeral: The Sound Of Silence - Simon & Garfunkel â¢Vietnam: Ride Of The Valkyries - Budapest Symphony Orchestra â¢Bar in Vietnam: Me And Bobby McGee - Janis Joplin â¢Street protest: I'm Your Boogie Man - KC & The Sunshine Band â¢Laurie comes to Dan's house: Unforgettable - Nat King Cole â¢You're My Thrill - Billie Holiday â¢Protest (from the opera Satyagraha) - Philip Glass â¢Something She Has To Do - Philip Glass â¢Prophecies (from Koyaanisqatsi) - The Philip Glass Ensemble â¢Pruit Igoe (from Koyaanisqatsi) - The Philip Glass Ensemble â¢Captains of industry / assassination attempt: Everybody Wants To Rule The World - Studio Group (originally performed by Tears for Fears) â¢Love scene: Hallelujah - Leonard Cohen â¢Bar scene asking about Pyramid: Clyde - Waylon Jennings â¢Flying to Antarctica: All Along The Watchtower - Jimi Hendrix â¢On the TV: Control Voice (from Outer Limits) - Vic Perrin â¢On the TV: The Outer Limits Theme - Dominic Frontiere â¢On the TV: Panic - Dominic Frontiere â¢End credits: Desolation Row - My Chemical Romance â¢Second end credits song: First We Take Manhattan - Leonard Cohen Additional music: â¢Original music for The Watchmen: Tyler Bates â¢Extra song not in the movie but on the album: Pirate Jenny - Nina Simone â¢Song from the commercial for the movie: The End Is The Beginning Is The End by Smashing Pumpkins â¢Song from the Watchmen Preview: Muse â" Take a Bow

LONDON â" Â Statistics show that the Olympics failed to bring a surge in visitors to Britain, but those who did come spent more.
The Office for National Statistics says 3 million people came to Britain during August, 5 percent down on the year before. But earnings from visitors were 9 percent higher than in August 2011.
The Olympic Games ran July 27-Aug. 12, and the Paralympics Aug. 29-Sept. 9.
Many businesses complained of slow business during the games, and blamed predictions of crowding and travel chaos for scaring off visitors.
The figures released Thursday show that, despite some predictions, there was no mass Olympic exodus from the country. Residents of Britain made 7.3 million visits abroad in August, about the same number as the year before.
