Court orders arrest of Kingfisher Airlines boss [getdailynow.blogspot.com]
Question by FROSTY⢠ELITÆâ¢: Who would be the current "8th wonder of the world" in pro wrestling? +BQ? Not stripping Andre of the title, but which non-deceased "wrestler" (as in no objects, like last question) would be worthy of the new "8th wonder of the world" title? BQ: Do you find it weird how "celebrities" who come to compete at Wrestlemania against the "wrestlers", have an undefeated streak? That is ridiculous, so you're telling me these celebs are more skilled than the wrestlers who work in the business for years?? Please explain the use of making these celebrities win the matches. Best answer for Who would be the current "8th wonder of the world" in pro wrestling? +BQ?:

Big Show BQ: Publicity my friend

The Great Khali, he can perform with his tall height, only second to Giant Gonzalez. BQ: I don't think the celebrity would want to wrestle at Mania if they were going to lose.

Andre earned that status; let's not...sully it by finding somebody else to give that status to. Chyna is called the "ninth wonder of the world". So let's call this one the "tenth wonder of the world". My first reaction is N.egro Casas (no "." in his name but Y!A will censor it if I don't put it in there). Casas is the ageless wonder of lucha libre. He's nearly 53 years old, but doesn't look it, nor does he wrestle like a 53 year old. He's in fantastic shape and can still keep up with, and fly with, the kids half his age and younger. He's still as much the high-flying speed-demon luchador as any of them are. He seems to have discovered the Fountain Of Youth and just never seems to age. N.egro Casas is an amazing athlete and luchador, and that he can still main event and keep up with everybody regardless of age in the high-flying fast-paced lucha libre business is also amazing. But most people here will think "who the @#$ % is N.egro Casas"? So I'll pick a name everybody knows. Kurt Angle. The IWC, especially this section, loves to whine about the older wrestlers, about how they're "washed-up" and "over the hill" and "should retire already". One name that's never included in those idiotic discussions is Kurt Angle. Because Kurt Angle, like fine wine, just gets better with age. He's kept himself in phenomenal shape (especially his stamina), keeps adding skills and moves to his repertoire, and hasn't lost a single step over the years. Even devastating neck injuries haven't slowed down this workhorse. Even the young fans who constantly complain about older veterans being "in the way" never complain about Kurt Angle. Because Kurt can still, week after week, steal any show he's on. At Kurt's age, wrestlers in other promotions (especially the WWE), are slowing down, picking and choosing their less frequent wrestling appearances, and do more "ac ting" (promos and skits) than actual wrestling. Not Kurt Angle. He just keeps going and going, and making improvements to his skills and his performances in the ring. BQ: It's good PR. Generally the "celebrities" are the good guys, the underdog babyfaces, so it's a great "feel good" moment to see them "win" against despicable heels. The matches are rarely "fair", and generally the "celebrity" does little more than just hang out in the corner then get tagged in to get the pin after the wrestler has done most of the work. That works in reverse, too. It's satisfying to see a "celebrity bad boy/girl" get his/her ego-crushing comeuppance after trash-talking a WWE wrestler. Vince does this to attract people who normally don't care about wrestling or the WWE, to get them to pay to see their favorite "celebrity" out of his/her element and in something that's supposed to be fun and entertaining and not taken seriously.

If this was brought up in the 80's I would had definitely said Hulk Hogan. LOL. Current is tricky as none of them has the factor. I mean, I notice how people are using size as a way to get the answer, but to say Big Show and Great Khali is just ridiculous, because this title was not only a play of size, but of drawing power as well. In 2005, this title could had easily gone to Cena, and in the past, maybe even Goldberg. Now, its tricky, as even Cena doesn't seem to draw as much anymore. If I had to say a few names, I'd say The Rock and Brock Lesner, because those guys can draw and in a way "larger than life," but they aren't really wrestling a lot, so that really isn't fair. With that said and done, I guess the current and most "active" 8th wonder of the world would be the Undertaker. I'm not saying he is the best, as that title could go to Hogan or stay with Andre, but to me, would be a better choice than Khali, Show, or Nash. BQ: Its purely entertainment, so I don't find it odd. I mean, celebrities are always beating the heel everyone likes to hate. Big Show being the most popular with Floyd Mayweather and Aki Bono, and those were.... eh more or less legit. The moral of the story of these matches is basically, even if you aren't the best of biggest, some how, the bad guy always loses. But overall, the hype, alone gets a lot of publicity with stories like Mayweather promoting his match against Show, or Snooki wrestling to appeals to the fan base that watches that forsaken show. But you know, you never really hear wrestlers complain too much to losing at Mania to a celebrity, because 1, its a really hyped match, where chances are, most people don't even know the main event of the PPV and just watching to see this, and its a chance to appear at Wrestlemania. Sure they can do it with another wrestler, but that is just a typical build up with nothing that special, and doesn't earn publicity.

I would say The Undertaker. Despite being a part time wrestler, he can still be considered as an active wrestler now, since he hasn't retired yet. I could name all kayfabe and non kayfabe reasons why The Undertaker is the current 8th Wonder Of The World. KAYFABE REASONS : 1. His 20-0 Wrestlemania Streak This is unparralled and unprecedented. Nothing will come even close to that Streak, not even the 15 year undefeated Streak of Andre The Giant. Though it's kayfabe, to be 20-0 at Wrestlemania, you have to be on top of your game for 20 years straight. And the list he had beaten is who's who of sports entertainment : Diesel, Kane, Big Show, Batista, Ric Flair, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. His Streak already proved why he's the most dominant force in sports entertainment. 2. The list of WWE Legends he had defeated Outside Wrestlemania, he also held great resume on victories over Legend. Very few could say they accomplish the same fate The Undertaker did : beating The Rock, Hulk Hogan, John Cena, Batista, Mick Foley, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle, Steve Austin, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart (though by DQ). Very few could say the same thing, and maybe there isn't even one NON KAYFABE REASONS : 1. His Gimmick To be a mega star, gimmick is so important. The Undertaker had one of the best, if not the best gimmick in Pro Wrestling history. His undead gimmick won Best Gimmick Of The Year Award 4 times. And also WWE Fans still loved it. It never got stale, despite being a cartoon, unrealistic character. The Undertaker played that cartoon gimmick very well and made it very realistic. 2. His In Ring Skill The Undertaker despite being a big man, he's so agile and could move like a cruiserweight. Remember, when he did Suicide Dives countless times, including one when he dived off the fire at Unforgiven 1998. Also, he kept adapting new styles, and eventually became a Submission Specialist with Triangle Choke and Hell's Gate. He's a very good mat wrestler and highflyer. I don't think there's any other big man as talented as The Undertaker, 3. He played his gimmick very well A cartoon gimmick won't be accepted anymore by WWE Fans, especially during Attitude Era. They want realistic characters, not cartoon ones like Hulk Hogan in 1980s, The Ultimate Warrior, and Andre The Giant. But, The Undertaker played his gimmick very well, that makes it so believeable and makes us believe he truly is The DeadMan. No other man successfully played this gimmick (except Kane, but he's far unsuccessful compared to The Undertaker), look The Boogeyman, Viscera, Papa Shango, Gangrel, Mordecai, and Kevin Thorn. They all failed to eclipse The Undertaker. 4. His Career Length and Passion He's almost a 30 year veteran now and he's still wrestling. That's so incredibly awesome. He had one of the longest Pro Wrestling career ever and I won't be surprised if he decides to wrestle until his 60s like Ric Flair did. He could have retied 10 years ago and would already reached the greatest of all time status, but he never did, because he still loved this job and his Fans. 5. His backstage reputation We never heard something bad said about The Undertaker. This pretty much affected his status as the greatest of all time. Legends such as Hulk Hogan, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels are usually excluded from being the greatest of all time due to their bad backstage reputation. But, we always hear The Undertaker's the most respected lockerroom leader backstage. There's not enough space to write here. But, there's one more thing I would like to add which might be a bit controversial and that's his loyalty to WWE. He never defected to WCW during Monday Night Wars during hard times when WWE almost go out of business. Instead, he kept up his hard work along with the likes of Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, and The Rock and eventually led WWE winning Monday Night Wars. He never left for money like so many did. This grew even more respect for The Undertaker. BQ : Yeah, but most of those celebrities almost never winning cleanly. You have to take that into account. Remember when Floyd beat Big Show, he needed help from his cornermen. This made Big Show look strong. In my opinion, WWE did this because they respected those celebrities very much. WWE know Fans loved those celebrities, therefore it would be such a waste if they came just occasionally and lost to the wrestlers who can be seen everyday. Those celebrities are bonus, special attractions, and they mostly only appear at Wrestlemania, the biggest show of WWE. Not just that, WWE always mostly have the celebrities as the good guy, and the wrestlers as the bad guy. Therefore, Wrestlemania usually have happy endings, that might explain why the celebrities won in the end, so the Fans would cheer and have a celebration with them.

MUMBAI, India â" Â An Indian court has ordered the arrest of the highflying owner of beleaguered Kingfisher Airlines on charges of bouncing checks.
The decision came as Vijay Mallya's airline struggled for survival and appeared set to extend a suspension of flights it began on Oct. 1.
A court in the southern city of Hyderabad issued an arrest warrant Friday for Mallya on charges his airline bounced four checks worth over 103 million rupees ($ 1.9 million) to the consortium running the airport in the city.
The cash-strapped airline has stopped selling tickets on its website through Oct. 20 as it struggles to convince pilots and engineers who haven't been paid for months to return to work.
Kingfisher, once one of India's best airlines, is more than $ 1 billion in debt.
