KABUL, Afghanistan â" Â Afghanistan's security service is denying claims that the suicide bomber who killed two American troops and four Afghans in a weekend attack was a member of the country's intelligence agency.
The service's spokesman, Shafiqullah Tahiri, said Tuesday the attacker wore an Afghan uniform to gain access to the intelligence headquarters in Kandahar's Maruf district.
Tahiri says the attacker blew himself up as a group of NATO troops and Afghans were arriving to deliver new office furniture to the facility on Saturday.
NATO and Afghan officials had said the bomber was a member of Afghanistan's National Directorate of Security.
The growing number of insider attacks has raised doubts whether Afghan forces will be able to effectively control security after foreign troops depart in 2014.
Question by dead fundie: How can "God so loved the world" in John 3:16 be reconciled with First John 2:15? "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." Best answer for How can "God so loved the world" in John 3:16 be reconciled with First John 2:15?:
Answer by tax_senior2002
God loved the world (and specifically the people in it, since Jesus didn't die for rocks and twigs), but we're not to do so to the point that we love it more than God.
Answer by Faith_Works
"World" in John 3:16 = Kosmos, or mankind. "World" in 1 John 2:15 = "world system" based upon fallen man.

Only by equivocation: conveniently defining words to mean one thing in one place and another thing in another.

Language is NOT static. If I said: The whole world is watching the football game, does that contradict: The world is blind?? No it doesn't ... because language is living, and within different situations and under different connotations the same word can mean two very different things.
Answer by xwiredawgx
Two different meanings! "God so loved the world" Bible is referring to people. "Love not the world" this passage referring to the worldly things like materialistic possessions.
Answer by Buster
God loved the world as in people. People love the world for it's 'worldly things' that separate them from God in the end

The "world" in John 3:16 refers to those he chose to save before the foundation of the world...the world in John 2:15 is the world we live in, ruled by Satan. Go to www.wecanknow.com for more info.

Great question and for the answer let's go by faith to the ACTUAL cross of Christ. On this side is the world and all the earthly nations that are under Lucifer's control as we all descend from the womb into an earthly nation on this side. The invisible Kingdom of Christ is on the EAST and opposite side and also in Heaven. Imagine a huge lines of millions of people walking out of Heaven and turning their backs on the invisible Kingdom because humans have been brainwashed to think naturally. These line go all the way down to the earth and at the end of these lines is Lucifer's earthly Kingdom because he is the god of this fallen world. God so love the world because he wants people to see this image and the masses that are walking away from the Kingdom of Christ all because they have NO light from Heaven. In First John 2:15, God is tell us we get to spend out time in the Kingdom of Christ and com e out and shed light on the lost and to do this we can have NO fellowship with the world because we are not of the world but from the Kingdom of Christ in Heaven.

It reconciles perfectly with Luke 10:21- "Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul, all thy strength, and all thy mind."
