CAIRO â" Â An Egyptian court has postponed a decision on the fate of the panel tasked with writing the country's new constitution, pushing back the decision until next week amid an increasingly strident debate over the charter.
A High Administrative Court official says the panel of judges will issue its ruling Oct. 23 on a number of legal challenges to the make-up of the 100-member constitutional assembly, which is dominated by Islamists. A decision had been widely expected Tuesday.
Many secularists, liberals and women's rights groups are still haggling over the charter, disputing articles that will determine the role of religion in the nation's affairs and the independence of the judiciary.
The same court â" but different judges â" dissolved a previous constitutional panel in June over its make-up.
Question by Combogalis: What is the weirdest "small world" moment you have ever had? Pretty straight-forward question. What is the weirdest "small world" story that directly relates to you(not some story you heard on TV), a family member, or friend? If you don't know what I mean by the small world thing, I am talking about moments that make you realize that it is a small world. Pretty much a really strange coincidence. Best answer for What is the weirdest "small world" moment you have ever had?:

Is that the show with the family of midgets? I once had a "small world" moment when I spoke with a midget at a carnival.

I was on a plane the other day wearing my year 12 jumper waiting for the toilet. And the lady behind me said "I don't usually talk to other strangers but my niece attended your school with you" and it turns out her niece was my best friend! And I wasn't even in my home state at the time. Lol

2 answers: First, being short of a Literal Idiot (!), I truly thought you meant weirdest experience with a "small world" (our OWN interpretation of this, so that would be the following~) When I was 8 or 9, in Northern Ohio, I was reading under a big ol' tree when I noticed a colony of ants passing on an adjoining sidewalk. It was incredible. They were carrying what appeared to be several of their own antfriends who apparently were slain in a recent accident. The 'parade' of obedient mourners passed in stepping rythym across a wide sidewalk crack and began to slip one by one into a puffed up dirthole. One by one, they disappeared still stepping in a distinct micro-rythym when suddenly they stopped - as a slain body was about to be stuffed down the hole. They paused in synchrony as if Time had frozen them. I held my breath and watched. To my right I noticed three girls carrying a long jumprope and laughing as they came near. Still frozen the ants held their perfect position several more seconds. As the girls set up a double dutch jumprope game, the ants slowly wiggled in place. The girls started some nonsense song..."My mother told me that I'd hafta go to schoo l..." The girls' voices worked a new rythym in the air. The weirdest thing is what happened next - Each ant, as if on cue, started their march back down the hole but this time THEY MARCHED IN PERFECT RYTHYM TO THE JUMPROPE SONG! La la-la la laaa la-la la-la lala la... Honest. This is no joke. I was just a weird little kid that liked to watch nature any way but THIS was the weirdest SMALL WORLD story that ever happened to me before. When I actually realized that you meant a story of 'small world' coincidence, it would have to be the time, when I was 10, that I awoke with a terrible pain in my lower right side. It went on for days and my mother eventually took me to the doctor. Nothing could be found. About the 5th day I awoke with no pain whatsoever. Sometime in the night the pain had vanished. A few days later I wrote to my dear friend Elsie, whom I had met at a summer camp to tell her how weird that whole thing was. She didn't write back. Eventually, her mom & dad wrote a letter to my mom explaining that a week or so ago, Elsie had landed on a pitchfork in the barn and lasted 4 days before dying of complications on the 5th day. It was the very same days of my pain and release from that pain. Good question. Thanks.
